Laura A. Weis has joined the firm as a Senior Associate Attorney effective April 1, 2014.
Orlando, April 9, 2014: The law firm of Rush, Marshall, Jones and Kelly, P.A. (Rush Marshall) is pleased to announce that Laura A. Weis is currently serving as a Senior Associate Attorney effective April 1, 2014. Ms. Weis specializes in Employment Litigation and Consulting.
A member of the Florida Bar since 2003, Ms. Weis previously worked for a state-wide Labor and Employment law firm in Winter Park, Florida, before establishing the Law Office of Laura Weis, P.A. Ms. Weis focuses her practice on representing employers in all aspects of employment law – litigation (federal and state actions), responding to EEOC / FCHR matters, consulting on OSHA / DOL investigations, as well as contractual assistance.
Aside from being a member of the Florida Bar, Ms. Weis has been a proud member of both the Florida Association for Women Lawyers as well as the Central Florida Association for Women Lawyers (CFAWL) since 2009. Ms. Weis served as a member of the Board of Directors for CFAWL from 2009 through 2011, and as a member of CFAWL’s Leadership Team from 2011 through 2013.
Ms. Weis’ education began at Florida State University, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. Following her undergraduate career, Ms. Weis advanced her education at the St. Thomas University, School of Law, where she received her Juris Doctor in 2002.
